Laws  of  refraction:  Snell's  law





Refraction of light follows 2 laws, they are given in below:


1) Incident ray, refracted ray and normal to the interface at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane.



2) The ratio of Sin of the angle of incidence i and Sin of the angle of refraction r for a system of two medium is always constant. This is called refractive index of the medium with respect to the first medium







This is called Snell’s law.
